House Of Finn Juhl
Rather than thinking in practical constructions, Finn Juhl had the mindset of a sculptor when shaping a piece of furniture. This approach was completely unprecedented in the 1940s and 1950s, where he stood out by breaking with both the heavy, traditional furniture style and the strict norms of functionalism. In contrast to many of his modernist colleagues, who favoured a more streamlined, minimalist style, Finn Juhl sought to create uncompromising furniture with organic shapes and refined details.
