Hamburg-based design collective Maly Hoffmann Kahleyss conceived this series by tackling a variety of construction "challenges", such as creating a graphic seat cushion silhouette to building a sharp frame while ensuring supreme comfort. The soft chair — which can come with or without arms — embodies a chiselled yet strong frame. Made in Hokkaido, Japan and available in multiple wood finishes.

Description
The Challenge series was designed by German designers Peter Maly, Birgit Hoffmann and Christoph Kahleyss. The defining qualities of their design is the shell-type seat and sculptural legs, which bestows a pleasing elegance. It was also made using finger joinery to strengthen the backing and legs.
