Mario Ferrarini graduated from the Politecnico University of Milan with a degree in Industrial Design, and began his career as a consultant in several architecture, furniture and product design studios. In 2007, he founded his own studio, the Mario Ferrarini Studio in Como and then in Lugano, Switzerland. The studio works on a variety of projects ranging from industrial products, furniture, interior design to exhibition stand designs. The studio's design ideals are based around creating products that are timeless and unbounded by passing trends. This is complemented by the fine balance they seek to achieve in their designs, between aesthetics and functionality and technicality. This is altogether achieved by working on the fine details, resulting in the subtlety of their designs, small differences that make magnified differences. They are recognised by the many established and renowned companies that have engaged them, including Divani, Poltrona Frau and Ligne Roset amongst many others.
