The Jali table lamp's unique structure is composed of two pieces, where the opaline sphere diffuses a soft and uniform light, and the brass mesh sphere casts a shadow of it pattern for a very ornamental effect.
Marie Christine Dorner sojourned through the big cities of London, Paris and Tokyo, defining her characteristic designs that are populated with well-established brand names familiar to many homes today. Designer, interior architect and graduate of the école Camondo, Paris, she spent a year in Tokyo designing her first collection of furniture for Idée, before opening her first office in Paris. The diversity of her design spreads across a wide spectrum, from the presidential grandstand (tribune présidentielle du 14 juillet) at the top of the Champs Elysées to street furniture for the city of Nîmes. Marie-Christine Dorner has lectured in both London and France, and is recognised by the Grand Prix du Design de la ville de Paris in 1995.
