Born into a family of contemporary designers and industrialists in Lyon, Michel Ducaroy has always been inclined towards furniture design. Having joined the Roset company very early on, he also developed a keen understanding of the company's marketing strategy. His experience and time in the company allows him to fully understand the technology of furniture design, where he constantly improves with his research as well. With the advent and availability of new technology in the 1960s and 70s, like foam, quilting and thermoformed plastics, Ducaroy designed the Togo, which remains one of the key collections in Ligne Roset today.
