AJ Royal

Arne Jacobsen designed this fixture, among many other features, for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, in 1957. Characterized by the open grooves at the top of the shade, the pendant emits a diffused light upwards thus creating a pleasant ambience. The white painted inner shade design ensures a soft glare-free downward light. The AJ Royal pendant were found in an attractive copper version above the tables in the snack bar behind the atrium at the hotel as well as in the 1st floor lounge and in the Panorama lounge on the 21st floor, where they ensured perfect atmospheric lighting.
